Behind the technology, Pall GeneSystems (now part of Pall Life Sciences) provides ongoing commitment to our customers’ needs, and is driven by innovation. This is supported by strong Intellectual Property (proprietary PCR instruments and reagents*), international commercial salesforce, and technical support and long term partnerships with leading universities and companies.
- 2000: Foundation of GeneSystems SA in France
- 2001: Patents obtained for the core technology: GeneDisc Cycler, GeneExtract and GeneDisc
- 2002: Salmonella spp and Listeria monocytogenes GeneSystems assays are the first alternative molecular methods approved by AFNOR for these parameters.
- 2005: Launch of the Legionella and Pseudomonas assays.
- 2007: The GeneSystems Legionella method becomes the first AFNOR-certified Legionella PCR method. The method obtained UKAS certification the same year.

- 2008: Launch of STEC assays for the detection of Verotoxic Escherichia coli including Pathogenic E. coli O157 and E. coli non-O157.
- 2008: Pall Corporation acquires GeneSystems and expands its business opportunites worldwide with an enriched portfolio.
- 2009: Pall GeneSystems launches the GeneDisc® DNA Extractor.
