GeneDisc Cyanobacteria

Cyanobacteria-producing toxins (cyanotoxins) proliferate mainly in stagnant waters and surface waters.

These toxins are pathogenic to humans. It is therefore necessary to control proliferation of these bacteria in potable water reservoirs, and also in recreational lakes.

The three most commonly found genius of Cyanobacteria should be quantified: Microcystis, Anabaena and Planktothrix.

  • The GeneDisc® Cyanobacteria targets the genes responsible for cyanotoxins biosynthesis. It enables quantification of these 3 parameters in a single run in less than 3 hours, in every type of water.

Thanks to the easy-to-use Pall GeneDisc® system, this real-time control may be used onsite or through service laboratories. Please contact us for a list of laboratories.
